That phone call made Aliana keep thinking about the debt. Since the incident that happened a year ago, the family had been struggling to repay the debt, working day and night nonstop.
It was a normal weekend, Aliana was in her room doing her daily skincare when out of sudden, she received a phone call from an unknown number. Not thinking much, she picked up the call, "Hello?"
The response came quickly. It was a guy's voice, a scary one. The guy stated all her private information, including her family's home address.
"If you don't want to meet your God next week, you better transfer $500,000 immediately to this number." The call was then ended abruptly.
Aliana did not know what or how to react, she just dropped her phone, contemplated the recent scene and then came back to reality only after she checked her phone. The call really happened.
Aliana now remembered, her brother just got into an awful car accident and the bills were expensive. Racking her brain on the issue, she finally connected the dots. How could her brother pay the bills on time when he just finished his degree in the university? Where did he get the money? Aliana was in rage by her brother's action that put their family in danger.
Out of the blue, her mother, Lucy came barging into the room screaming excitedly, "Oh, my gosh! I just won a lottery of 1 million dollars!" Aliana was in a great surprise. The timing was perfect! It was definitely a help from God. However, the joy was killed when Aliana told her mother about the phone call. Now, Lucy had to accept that she would only have half a million after paying the loanshark, but at least, they did not have to meet their God next week.
